Purchased from 007 Audio for $199 a set (2 sets), Total Cost $400

Task : Replace all tweeters and 5.25" speakers with new MB Quart speakers

Reason : Improve the sound quality and clarity

I am very satisfied with this upgrade. It greatly increased the clarity/quality of the DSP sound system in my 2000 540. I am sure these instructions would work well on a non DSP sound system as well. No amps were replaced and no speaker wiring ran. This is a direct replacement of 8 speakers inside the car in the stock locations.

Stock DSP Speakers :

Front (24mm Tweeter 8ohm, 53mm Midrange 8ohm, 5.25" Midbass 8ohm)

Back (32mm Rear Tweeter 4ohm, 5.25" Midrange 8ohm

Stock amp can handle 4 ohm load all around.

Next Phases :

Upgrade Front Door midrange (53mm driver) with MB Quart MCD 51 (51mm) midrange driver (4ohm)

Upgrade subwoofer box to M5 Enhanced Bass option
