turn the radio off.
turn it back on, and immediately press the "m" key. hold it for 10 seconds until the display changes.

you can now use the soft keys labeled + and - to scroll through the different menu options. one of these is country. set to US, but I would suggest you play around with the countries- on my in dash CD, one of the settings produced RDS and Mute, both unavailable in the US mode. you can also adjust speed volume sensitivity, etc.
